Superlativele în engleza de clasa a 6-a exprimă gradul cel mai înalt al unei calități. Ele se formează adăugând sufixul '-est' la adjectivele scurte sau folosind 'the most' înaintea celor lungi. De exemplu, 'tall' devine 'the tallest', iar 'beautiful' devine 'the most beautiful'.
Formarea superlativelor
- Adjective scurte Adaugă '-est': small → the smallest, big → the biggest (dublă consoană finală).
- Adjective terminate în -y Schimbă -y în -i și adaugă '-est': happy → the happiest, easy → the easiest.
- Adjective lungi Folosește 'the most' înainte: interesting → the most interesting, expensive → the most expensive.
- Excepții good → the best, bad → the worst, far → the farthest/the furthest.
